2009, 3rd Jan FTO o2 Areena Meet

Welcome to 2009! We had our first o2 Arena meet with the FTOOC! Great turn out, Damien (Damo) from the oc got the Cambridge lot to come down and we had a great day out. Parked our cars in the Vue Cinema car park and made a few scenic shots.

Detailed and Sealed with Diamond Brite

This weekend we got my FTO steam cleaned, waxed. detailed and sealed with Diamond Brite. Called a valet company called dial a detail to come round, was realy impressed with the quality of the mobile kit, they realy do a professional service. The guy running the shop is called Dale, easygoing and honest guy. They are based in Liverpool street area and I would so reccmomend them to anyone thinking of having this done.

Very impressive results. The merits are not just from the valet, the car has new paint, this was done when I had the JDL kit put on it two weeks ago at CNC Coachworks in East London.

So if you are thinking of having a detail session done, get in touch with them today. http://dialadetail.co.uk/, or if you need paint work and bodykit fitted cnc coachworks would be a good choice.

JDL Tuning - BodyKit for FTO -

Finaly ordered a bodykit for my fto, I went with something new, the JDL kit from Poland, realy pleased with the result.
Dedicated for pre facelift models 95-98. Will not fit to facelift models, rear bumper extension type JR and side skirts type JR.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Rear skirt bonded to standard FTO bumper. They look different from the sets they show on the JDL website and in all honesty, I'm glad. The ones on their site look plain and would make the fto look like a ford focus...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Sideskirts, had to be cut and blended to fit, standard skirts were removed in order to fit. They are by no means an easy kit to fit. So this is not a diy job, make sure you have the right tools and plenty of help before you commit to this.

Tori & And_Some's House Warming

We got up at 10am, the usuall lazy Saturday morning... Then decided I needed to clean the FTO before heading out, so a quick 5min job turns into a 2 hour dilema with my girlfriend blowing a few fuses... Oopss... Oh, well after that we were on our way to the party.

Here you can see how shinny and new my ride looks.

We arrived and now it's a bit dirty, but still shinny. Gotta love new paint.

The party was held at their new house in Broome near Cambridge. Was a two hour drive from London but worthwhile to go and chill out with some folks from the OC. Nic and Lb were there too. Lb still had his gold wheels.

Billy Albert was also at the party, here you can see his FTO and all the others parked up too.

Me and Billy Albert chatting about his roof rust troubles, not good folks. If you have roof rust, sort it with a new roof, no rubbing down as it will always come back.

Another view from the back, the JDL looks so smart, gives the car a new shape.

And another photo from the side, here you can see how the kit has made the car wider and more aggresive, very impressive indeed. ;)

Docklands by night

Hello all, about time I posted a few new pictures of how my FTO looks after the new kit was put on. While ridding around in London down at the Doclands, I decided to make a few snaps and this is the result, very nice i think.

I got The JDL bodykit from Poland, indeed the one with fitting issues. It's has finaly been fitted and my pride and joy resprayed in black without the green sparkle.

Mongoose Decat & Back box system

Well here we are again for a few more lovely pictures of my FTO.
This time with a Mongoose full decat system, includes the downpipes too. I had the downpipes fitted a while back, got them from Aweb on the FTOOC, but my exhaust baffles had gone, the flexi and the gaskets also had leaks so I thought might as well upgrade and get a decent piece of kit in there. Also had the ECU reset and new mapping, less fueling and slightly more air.
The mivec sounds amazing now, the ITG filter noise is also insane, sounds so good.

Mongoose

Here are some pictures of the system on the car. I drove out to Hainault country club, wonderful calm place. You have to love the South East, so many places to just go for a picnic.

FTOOC

Very subtle, yet perfect

Blue Samco radiator hoses

Here you can see my new engine bay modifications, the Samco Sport radiator hoses. They are made of silicone and are able to resist higher temperatures, a great addition for hot weather conditions and sporty riding.

Apex Springs & Kyb Shocks

That's right my next mod has been added, a set of new front and back lowering springs, with new front and back KYB Excel-G Shock absorbers.

Kyb Shocks

The road handling is amazing, feels a lot more solid and has also quietned the noises I had coming from the rear end, I am really impressed, the car feels so much better, not as bumpy and rides like a new car.

Apex Springs

For anyone thinking of getting this done, I can only say go out and order your Apex springs now.
And here is my FTO with the Apex springs ready on the drive, looks realy good.

Lowered

Car looks amazing, lowered by 30mm, front and back, as the car sits quite low you can only see the yellow springs in the rear wings section.

Lowered

Leather Retrim @ Precision Trimming

Well I finally had the car retrimmed in leather, front and back seats, head lining, front kick plates and the front and back door cards, so the car looks amazing.

Leather

The front Seats and the Dashboard

Leather

Front and Back seats

Leather

It's dark in there, but looks so smooth. The finish feels as if it was meant to be, notice the silver stick matches the silver chrome fixtures on the dashboard and centre console, even the stereo is blending into the chrome theme, a realy impresive finish.

Precison Trimming

A big well done to Brett Wandsworth at Precision Trimming, thanks for a job well done !!!
